Your hosting account is created automatically and you land in the Wiptor Cloud Panel.
Getting started
Point your domain
Hosting needs a domain you own, there are no subdomains handed out.
In the Wiptor Cloud Panel, add your domain to the account. The panel shows you the DNS records to set at your registrar, an A record to the hosting server, plus any others you need. Once DNS propagates, your site is served from your account with a TLS certificate issued automatically.
If you also want Wiptor to manage the domain's DNS, create a DNS zone for it in the panel and point your registrar at the panel's nameservers instead.
Managing your site
Wiptor Cloud Panel
The control panel for your hosting account, separate from the Layer 7 dashboard.
From the panel you manage your domains, files, databases, DNS zones, cron jobs, email routing and TLS certificates. It's a standard hosting control panel, if you've used one before, this will be familiar.
The Layer 7 dashboard at /dashboard is a different thing entirely, that's for servers where you installed the agent yourself. A hosting account does not appear there and does not need to.
Managing your site
Layer 7 protection
Every hosting server runs the same wiptor-l7 agent described in the Protection docs.
You don't configure it and you can't turn it off, it's part of the platform. It covers connection and SYN floods, slow-connection attacks, and bot and protocol abuse against the sites on that server. Volumetric Layer 3/4 floods are handled upstream by the datacenter, same as anywhere else.

FAQ
Is it really free?
Yes. No credit card at any point. Free+ only asks for a small "Hosted by Wiptor.com" on your site, self-declared.
Can I get a free subdomain?
No. You bring your own domain. Free hosting is for hosting a real project, which needs a domain you control.
What runs on it?
Standard PHP web hosting with databases, static sites, and the usual CMS platforms. It is not a place to run a game server or a background daemon, that's what a VPS with the Layer 7 agent is for.
Do I need a Layer 7 Protection account too?
No. Hosting includes protection automatically. The two products share a login but are otherwise independent.
